I know this blog is supposed to be for my drawings and stuff but,

I couldn't help but to show you the cover for the GazettE's new single, DISTRESS AND COMA, in their Optical Impression version.(I have not yet beeen able to get Auditory Impression's cover image in a high resolution, sorry. )

I must say, I have always loved CD covers. Glass Skin, Leech, Distress and Coma, Uroroboros...Lately, all CD covers look appealling to me.

Both paintings are unfinished, both made in acrylics.
To the right, is a portrait of Ruki from visual-kei japanese band 'the GazettE'. It is based on a picture from the magazine Zy volume 43, released on Nov/Dec 2008. I still need to add lots of colors, highlights, and the lips. I should not forget to color his glove, which is actually silver. Note to self: Buy silver paint. (The painting was cropped in the picture because I need to fix his right shoulder and his hair...it looks awful! I am so ashamed of it, I don't even want to see it.)

To the left, is a painting of an indian woman holding corn. It is supposed to represent "Customs of Mexico", so the corn is supposed to be brighter, as it is the most important food of Mexico(or one of the most important ones...) because of all of its uses. You can hardly tell it's corn, but I'll leave that at the end. Also, I need to fix that fat arm!

I am so proud of this painting, because it has pulled so much attention at school and I want, for once, to win this contest. I have very hard competition: especially this girl who adds lots of detail, and is very good at paintings. She has won several painting contests at school before, and I have never won one. I am praying very hard to God so I will win! She is working hard because she needs some sort of "portfolio" for an artistic scholarship in the most expensive high school in town, and I do not need that portfolio because I'm entering a simple high school. However, as I said, she has won several contests before so, does she really need to win? I want to win to prove myself that I am better than what I think I am.

However, I've been thinking hard about the detail stuff. She has thousands of brushes, and several high-quality liners. I can't afford to buy high quality brushes or paint or anything she has that I don't, and I only have brush sizes 4, 8 and 14, I think. 4 is too big. Maybe I should get a liner.
